FIGS is a mission driven company dedicated to outfitting healthcare professionals so they can feel and perform at their best 24/7. They approached me in January 2022 with a fascinating mission to help create and launch their first ever native mobile shopping app. Working with a cross-functional team of engineering contractors, UX/UI designers, and internal stakeholders, I drove roadmap clarity and made tactical prioritizations to achieve MVP launch in 7 months. Key features in the MVP launch included: gating products on the app for an "App Exclusive" offering, a "Colour Lab" tab to enable customers to scroll through previous product colour launches and a "Shopping Profile" where customers could track their shipped products and update their shopping preferences.
TED Talks is used by millions of users around the world with the core mission of spreading ideas far and wide. I joined TED to help aid in this mission by leading the strategic direction for their mobile apps (iOS and Android), TV apps, Voice apps and Conference Event apps. Despite having a large international reach, the team struggled with identifying which big bets to pursue and how to provide a unique value to customers. TED Talks also hosts a 1,000 person conference every year and took pride in the personal touch they brought to these in-person conferences, my goal was to connect conference attendees with the power of technology to ensure their 5-day event was seamless and memorable.
Founders Factory is a corporate backed accelerator and incubator with the goal of building and scaling 200+ companies within 5 years. We did this in 2 ways, first with a accelerator program where early stage business joined us for 6 months to receive bespoke support from the Product team and an incubator program where we worked with our corporate backers to identify opportunities for innovation in their industries.
NET-A-PORTER is a household name in the luxury e-commerce world for providing a premium online shopping experience paired with exceptional customer service. The company greatly emphasized the importance of innovation in the digital retail space and it was here that I discovered my passion for building mobile apps. During my tenure, I managed a portfolio of iOS and Android apps for NET-A-PORTER, The OutNet and Mr Porter including the creation of the digital magazine 'Porter". My final project was focused on creating and launching a social commerce product from zero-to-one.
I am a proud mentor with the "Built By Girls" program in New York City where I empower the next generation of women in tech and entrepreneurship. Since joining the community, I've coached mentees to confidently navigate their careers, many of whom have gone on to land roles at companies like Headspace and Netflix - turning ambition into real-world impact.
